La pittura a Foligno tra fine Trecento e primo Quattrocento: gli affreschi staccati.
La prima sezione della Pinacoteca è dedicata a opere che vanno dalla fine del XIV secolo fino in pieno XV secolo, sono collocate al primo piano di Palazzo Trinci, in prossimità della biglietteria.
Sono ripartite in quattro sale.
Nella prima sala: Cristo nell'orto degli ulivi; Cattura di Cristo; Salita al Calvario; Crocifissione; affreschi attribuiti al Maestro dell'abside destra di San Francesco a Montefalco (fine sec. XIV), staccati nel 1909 dal complesso monasteriale di Santa Elisabetta a Foligno.
Nella seconda sala: Deposizione di Cristo dalla croce; Resurrezione di Cristo; Sante o pie donne (?); Santa e giovani donne; altri affreschi attribuiti allo stesso Maestro e staccati sempre dallo stesso monastero di Santa Elisabetta.
Nella terza sala: volto di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria; Santa Caterina d'Alessandria (?) e Cristo in pietà; Trinità entro mandorla coi santi Paolo, Stefano, due angeli e committente; Santa Margherita, Santa, Sant’Elena e san Girolamo, affreschi della fine del XIV secolo, presumibilmente tutti staccati dalla chiesa del monastero di San Claudio.
Nella quarta sala: Sant'Antonio abate, della prima metà del XV secolo staccato dalla chiesa conventuale di San Domenico; Vergine incoronata da angeli, prima metà del XV secolo, staccato dalla chiesa di San Giovanni decollato o degli Impiccati; Verifica della vera croce, dalla chiesa del monastero di Santa Margherita, sempre attribuito al Maestro dell'abside destra di San Francesco a Montefalco, Crocifissione con San Francesco d'Assisi, dell'inizio del XV secolo, di cui si ignora la provenienza.

Painting in Foligno between the end of the 14th century and the early 15th century: detached frescoes.
The first section of the Pinacoteca is dedicated to works ranging from the end of the 14th century to the whole 15th century: they are situated on the first floor of Palazzo Trinci, near the reception desk.
They are exposed in four different halls.
In the first hall: Christ in the olive garden; Capture of Christ; Ascent Calvary; Crucifixion. The frescoes were attributed to the Maestro dell'abside destra di San Francesco a Montefalco (end of the 14th century), detached in the monastery of Santa Elisabetta in Foligno in 1909.
In the second hall: Deposition of Christ from the Cross; Resurrection of Christ; Holy or pious Women (?); Holy and Pious Women; other frescoes attributed to the same Master and still detached from the same Monastery of Santa Elisabetta.
In the third hall: portrait of Santa Caterina d'Alessandria: Santa Caterina d'Alessandria (?) and Christ in mercy; Trinity within almond with saints Paul, Stephen, two angels and the person who commissioned the work; Santa Margherita, Saint, Sant'Elena and San Girolamo, frescoes of the end of the 14th century, presumably all detached from the church of the monastery of San Claudio.
In the fourth hall: Sant'Antonio Abate, of the first half of the 15th century, detached from the convent church of San Domenico; Virgin crowned by angels, first half of the 15th century, detached from the church of San Giovanni decollato or degli Impiccati; Verification of the true Cross from the church of the monastery of Santa Margherita, still attributed to the Maestro dell'abside destra di San Francesco a Montefalco, Crucifixion with Saint Francis of Assisi from the beginning of the 15th century, whose provenance is unknown.
