Museo archeologico

Al Museo Archeologico della città si accede direttamente dalla biglietteria del Palazzo. Il Museo è diviso in due sezioni.

Nella prima sezione sono raccolti i materiali più antichi(VII-VI secolo a.c), oggetti ceramici e bronzei, frammenti di strutture architettoniche, provenienti da località del territorio folignate o aree periferiche della città. Sono presenti, inoltre, urne sepolcrali, urne cinerarie ed una tomba a cassa proveniente dalla necropoli di S.Maria in Campis.
Nella seconda sezione che abbraccia il periodo dal I al III secolo d.C. sono esposti pezzi del territorio folignate, di centri diversi come Spello o Sentino, e pezzi già facenti parte di raccolte antiquarie.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
You can enter the archaeological museum directly from the reception desk of the palace. The museum is divided into two sections.

In the first section the most ancient materials are collected (7th-6th century BC), ceramic and bronze objects, fragments of architectural structures from Foligno or the nearby area.
There are also sepulchral urns, cinerary urns and a tomb from the necropolis of Santa Maria in Campis.
In the second section, ranging from the 1st to the 3rd century AD, there are pieces from the Foligno, Spello or Sentino areas, as well as pieces which were already part of antiquarian collections.
