Sala Giuseppe Piermarini
La lapide esposta sulla parete nord ricorda l’intitolazione della sala a Giuseppe Piermarini (Foligno 1734 -1808) avvenuta il 27 settembre 1908, in occasione del centenario della sua morte. La sala oggi raccoglie alcuni suoi scritti e disegni , inoltre un busto i gesso, due ritratti a stampa e strumenti da lavoro del famoso architetto folignate. La memoria del suo operato è incentrata sul suo progetto più famoso: la realizzazione del Teatro alla Scala di Milano. Sono esposte tre stampe del 1789 e la riproduzione in due plastici (1996 - 1998) della facciata esterna e dell’interno del Teatro ideato e realizzato tra 1776 e 1778 per Maria Teresa d’Austria.

The plaque on the north wall recalls the entitling of the hall named after Giuseppe Piermarini, which took place on 27the September 1908, on the occasion of the centenary of his death.
Today, the hall houses some of his writings and drawings. In addition, a plaster bust, two printed portraits and work tools of the famous architect from Foligno.
The memory of his work is focused on his best known project, the Theatre La Scala in Milan.
Three prints from 1789 and the reproduction of two models (1996 and 1998) of the external façade and the interior of the theatre are exhibited, conceived and built between 1776 and 1778 for Maria Theresa of Austria.
